New and used Harley Davidson Evolution motors and aftermarket Evo engines for sale by individuals, parts suppliers, and dealers. Introduced in 1984 and produced until 1999 in motorcycles, the EVO marked a break from the issues that plagued previous engines and set the stage for future advancements in Harley-Davidson's lineup. The EVO engine came in a 1340cc (80 cubic inches) V-twin configuration for big twin models like the Softail, Dyna, and Touring models. A smaller 883cc (and later, a 1200cc) version powered the Sportster models. The engines were air-cooled and offered improved performance and reliability over their predecessors. Even after the introduction of the Twin Cam engine in 1999, the EVO continued to be popular among riders due to its reliability and the relative ease of increasing its performance.
