New and used Harley Davidson Twin Cam 88 motors and aftermarket Twin Cam 88 engines for sale by individuals, parts suppliers, and dealers. The Twin Cam 88, so named for its two camshafts and 88 cubic inch (1442cc) displacement, was designed to deliver improved power and reliability, particularly in Harley's increasingly heavy touring bikes. In 2000, Harley introduced the Twin Cam 88B, a counterbalanced version of the Twin Cam 88, in the Softail line. The counterbalancer was designed to reduce engine vibration, providing a smoother ride. Harley-Davidson increased the engine's displacement in later years. In 2006, the displacement was increased to 96 cubic inches (1584cc). The Twin Cam engine also featured an improved oil circulation system, which improved the cooling of the engine and, subsequently, the reliability and longevity of the engine.
